We Have Officially Commenced Construction at Bank Street Park

We’re proud to share that we’ve begun works on the new Bank Street Park Project, working with BESIX Watpac to help bring this new waterfront space to life.

Located underneath the Anzac Bridge, Bank Street Park is a major public space initiative that will provide a new space for the community. The 1.1 hectare park will feature a range of elements, including a multipurpose sports court, waterfront access, inclusive play areas and new pathways designed to enhance connectivity and accessibility.

We’ve been engaged by BESIX Watpac to deliver key landscape construction components. Our scope includes the construction of the playground, basketball court, irrigation systems and pathways throughout. These are elements of the park that will shape how the community experiences the space.

NSW Government Women in Construction Initiative

What makes our involvement in the construction of this project even more meaningful, is it’s role in the NSW Government’s Women in Construction initiative. The Bank Street Park project represents more than just the delivery of a new public space, it’s also helping to drive meaningful change across the industry.

As part of this pilot project, there is a target of increasing female participation on site. The project is aiming for a minimum of 40% women in the workforce, with an ambitious stretch target of 50%. This is well above the current industry average that currently sits around 12%.

We’re proud to support this initiative and contribute to a more inclusive and diverse construction industry!

Bank Street Park is setting a new standard for how projects can deliver both social impact and community outcomes. By incorporating initiatives like this into the delivery of a project, the industry can take real steps towards a more inclusive future.

We look forward to providing updates throughout the project! Check out this video from NSW Government and BESIX Watpac.
