What is a Landscape Construction Apprenticeship?
Our Landscape Construction Apprenticeship is a practical training program that offers hands on site experience with formal training and learning. During this course you will work toward a Certificate III in Landscape Construction.
The landscape construction qualification marks you as a skilled tradesperson, capable of transforming outdoor spaces through professional landscape construction. You’ll finish the program with real experience, recognised qualifications, and a solid foundation for a long-term career in the landscape construction industry.
What Your Day Will Look Like
No two days are the same on site as a landscape construction apprentice, but you’ll be out on site gaining real, hands-on experience while learning how these projects come together.
Every day will build your skills, confidence and experience. You’re day will be a mix of:
- Ground preparation
- Paving
- Decking
- Retaining walls
- Turf installation
- Irrigation
- Planting
- Landscaping

What can you do with Cert III in Landscape construction?
A Certificate III in Landscape Construction prepares you for trade-level roles in residential and commercial landscaping, allowing you to work as a qualified landscaper, structural landscaper, or team leader.

Do I need any experience or qualifications?
No, no experience or qualifications are required. We offer apprenticeships tailored to individuals new to the industry, after a career change or people looking to get recognition of existing skills.
How long does the course take to complete?
The course takes 4 years to complete if in NSW or VIC and 3 years in QLD. There can be times where you can get signed off early, please get in touch with us to find out more.
Do apprentices get paid?
Yes of course! Apprentices get paid for their work whilst completing the course. You’ll be paid while you train.
What projects will I be working on?
You will be working on a range of projects that are different each day or week. This includes but is not limited to sports field construction, park upgrades, and civil infrastructure. Examples include popular community spaces like Campbelltown Billabong Parklands and Deepwater Pump Track.
Do I get a uniform?
Yes, we provide a uniform so there are no personal clothing requirements.
Do I need my own tools or equipment?
We provide many of the tools and items you will use day-to-day, though there will be some tools you will be required to bring to work with you.
