Meadowbank Park Soon To Have Two New Sports Fields And More.
Work has officially commenced at Meadowbank Park, where we are delivering two new sports fields and a new amenity building. This is being delivered for the City of Ryde, and it involves stages 3 and 4 of their Meadowbank Park Masterplan.
The Meadowbank Park Masterplan was developed in response to the City of Ryde‘s vision for open spaces and to address the rapid growth of the local residential and working population within the City of Ryde local government area.
This stage of the masterplan project being delivered by our NSW construction team involves demolishing the Eastwood Ryde Netball Association (ERNA) club building and the adjacent amenities building, with a new central amenity building to be constructed. We will be transforming the existing netball asphalt courts into two full-size natural turf playing fields. In addition to this, we will construct a new cricket wicket and basketball half-court, install fitness equipment and footpaths, plant new trees, improve lighting, and provide a car park.
A sod turning ceremony was carried out on the 26th of November 2025, attended by City of Ryde Mayor Trenton Brown and Parliamentary Secretary for Planning & Public Spaces, Stephen Bali.
City of Ryde Mayor Trenton Brown said the project will be warmly received by the Ryde community.
“…the new full-size turf fields at Meadowbank Park are going to be a very welcome and valuable addition to Council’s portfolio of active open space, giving our fast-growing community much-needed extra sports fields access.”
This project is funded by City of Ryde Council and a NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure grant, the Accelerated Infrastructure Fund (AIF).
We are extremely excited to be delivering this project for the City of Ryde and the local community.
