The Gables Lake Foreshore
The Gables Lake Foreshore is a 4-hectare waterfront precinct within The Gables residential estate in the Hills Shire.
Located adjacent to The Gables Town Centre and near The Gables Sports Precinct previously delivered by Solutions+, it has become another key community destination supporting the area’s continued growth.
Designed by AECOM and delivered for Stockland, the project has transformed the lakeside environment into a connected community destination. The precinct features multiple play areas, open green space, a stage for cultural and educational events with boardwalks and viewing decks that encourage visitors to explore the lakeside environment.

Creating a Community Destination
Our civil and landscape construction teams worked collaboratively to bring this project to life. The project included:
- Bulk earthworks
- Large scale landscaping
- Mature tree installation
- Drainage and irrigation
- Turf installation
- Concrete, stairs and pathways
- Multispan pedestrian bridge
- Play equipment
- Installation of street furniture
- Retaining walls
- Gabion wall
The project was designed to activate the lakeside environment while focusing on reusing any existing materials where possible.
A Quality Outcome
The result of this project is a lasting community asset that enhances the liveability of the Hills Shire region. The Gables Foreshore provides a high-quality space that encourages active lifestyles, outdoor recreation and community connection.
The combination of nature, recreation and open parkland creates a welcoming outdoor hub that will continue to support this growing community for years to come.
