The Gables Sports Precinct
The Gables Sports Precinct is a 4.5 hectare state-of-the-art sports precinct delivered for Stockland in the Hills Shire.
The complex provides the North-Western Sydney community with a high-quality sports facility in a growing residential area. It caters to a wide range of sports and recreational needs, ensuring inclusivity across ages and abilities. It is also the first dedicated hockey complex in The Hills Shire, addressing a critical gap in sports infrastructure.
The integration of multipurpose courts, community-focused amenities and outdoor spaces supports sports development and community wellbeing, while setting a new benchmark for multi-use precincts in Western Sydney.

Fostering a Vibrant Sporting Culture
With the high-quality playing surfaces, design features and ample open space, The Gables Sports Precinct not only supports health and wellbeing but also strengthens the community, fostering a vibrant sporting culture.
It was meticulously planned and constructed to be an effective social and active space, providing an opportunity for clubs, schools and residents to access elite sports facilities, encouraging active living, participation, and pathways to high-level competition.

The Pluses We Brought To This Project
PROJECT DETAILS
- The NSW State Government contributed $11.248m from the NSW Government’s State Voluntary Planning Agreement, an infrastructure funding program, to The Gables sporting precinct.
The project was initiated by Stockland and the Hills Shire Council to address the lack of high-quality, multi-purpose sporting facilities within the growing Gables community. As the population increased, there was a clear need for inclusive spaces that could support both organised sport and casual recreation.
